Biography

Marcos Gutierrez Pena joined BMC in 2025 as part of the firm’s graduate intake programme, after completing his degree in Business Administration at UCAM. With one year on the business services team, he provides support in document processing, digital filing, and the administrative tasks linked to onboarding new clients.

His work includes the classification and digitisation of invoices, the organisation of document files, and supporting the preparation of information that the team’s technical staff need for their accounting, payroll, and registry deposit tasks. He also participates in data verification on electronic administration platforms, including the Spanish Tax Agency’s electronic portal and the Commercial Registry.

A relevant part of his role is supporting the new client onboarding process: gathering initial documentation, verifying powers of attorney and representatives, and organising the files that senior technicians need to begin advisory work. This work, though administrative in nature, is critical to ensuring that new engagements start without delays and with complete information from day one.

Marcos is fully in training mode. He is currently building his knowledge of the SII (Immediate Information Supply) system and the fundamentals of payroll management, guided by senior team members. He has also begun to familiarise himself with the ERP systems used by the firm’s clients, which will allow him, as he gains more experience, to take on greater technical responsibilities in accounting and tax management.

His joining the team is part of BMC’s commitment to developing its own talent from the very start of professional careers. The firm believes that the best professionals are shaped in environments where technical standards are high from day one, and the graduate programme is designed so that new joiners gain a real understanding of advisory work — not just its administrative aspects.

He speaks Spanish as his mother tongue. His general business administration background provides a conceptual foundation that facilitates understanding of the technical work of the teams he supports, and which will serve as the starting point for progressive specialisation in the coming years.
