Kit Digital: the Spanish SME digitalisation grant programme
The Kit Digital programme (Programa de Ayudas para la Digitalización de Pequeñas Empresas, Microempresas y Autónomos) is a EUR 3 billion+ subsidy programme funded through the Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia (Spain’s NextGenerationEU implementation plan). It provides non-repayable grants (bonos digitales) to Spanish SMEs and self-employed individuals for the adoption of specific digital solutions from accredited providers.
The programme is managed by Red.es (under the Ministry of Digital Transformation) and has been structured in three segments by company size:
- Segment I (10-49 employees): bono digital of up to EUR 12,000
- Segment II (3-9 employees): bono digital of up to EUR 6,000
- Segment III (0-2 employees and autónomos): bono digital of up to EUR 2,000
Applications are made through the Acelera Pyme platform, and grants are disbursed as vouchers redeemable with Agentes Digitalizadores Adheridos — accredited digital solution providers.

Combining Kit Digital with other digitalisation incentives
For companies beyond the Kit Digital threshold (50+ employees), or for investments exceeding the Kit Digital caps, the Programme integrates with other digitalisation support:
